TSA grabs dozens of guns in October at U.S. airports

Dozens of guns were confiscated in October from the carry-on bags of pistol-packing passengers trying to board planes at major U.S. airports.

Last month the Transportation Security Administration screeners found 181 firearms in carry-on bags at airport screening points around the country. A total of 157 were loaded and nearly a third of those had rounds chambered, according to the TSA Blog.

The October confiscations also included a 13-inch cane sword discovered at the airport in Charlotte.

FBI Posts Reward To Catch Bank Robbery Crew

NORTH MIAMI BEACH – New surveillance photos just released by the F.B.I. show violent robbers who have victimized three banks on four different occasions and who used guns last Thursday at one bank and took customers and employees as hostages.

Now the F.B.I. is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the criminals responsible for the robberies, saying they are “armed and dangerous.”

One striking image shows a robber with a gun. Another photo shows a robber jumping over a bank counter last Thursday at a BB&T bank branch at 2375 S.W. 122nd Ave. which was also robbed on October 28th.

Nearly 8-Thousand Patients Of Health Center Affected By Data Breach

MIAMI – A South Florida health center was the target of a data breach that compromised the personal information of some patients.

Jessie Trice Community Health Center, Inc. announced law enforcement notified the business of an identity theft criminal operation.

The discovery was made in late July and is currently under investigation by the FBI and IRS.
