U.S. marshals: Armed, dangerous man may be living in woods

Robert Alan Burriss: Accused of kidnapping and domestic violence
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. —U.S. marshals are looking for help from the public to locate a man who they say is armed and dangerous, and may be living in wooded areas or camping.

A release from the U.S. marshals says that 49-year-old Robert Alan Burriss is wanted for kidnapping and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature in Lexington County.

Investigators said Burriss has connections in the Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Aiken and Augusta, Georgia, areas.

Burriss drives a white Ford-150 with the South Carolina tag EYE 525.
The release said Burriss is known to frequent strip clubs. He is capable of living off the land, leading investigators to believe he may be camping or living in the woods.

Burriss has numerous firearms and should be considered armed and dangerous, marshals say.

He is described as 5 feet 8 inches, weighing about 155 pounds.

There is a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to Burriss.
