Suspected credit card crook arrested in Hialeah Gardens

HIALEAH GARDENS, Fla. -- A suspected credit card crook has been arrested after authorities raided his Hialeah Gardens home, early Thursday morning.

The take down took place at the suspects home along Northwest 112th Street and 87th Court.

According to investigators, 29-year-old Anthony Nunovero, installed skimmers at various gas stations throughout Miami-Dade. He would then transfer unsuspecting victim's personal information onto laptops that he used to make fake credit cards.
Officials said Nunovero covered his tracks with tamper-proof stickers he would have made at different graphic design companies. "He would remove the sticker, open up the fuel pump with the keys that he has, remove the inline skimmer, reconnect everything back, close the pump and replace it with a counterfeit sticker."

Nunovero faces charges of organized scheme to defraud, credit card forgery, possession of credit card making equipment and unlawful use of a scanning device.

Police are now working to figure out how many gas stations Nunovero hit, and how many people were affected.
